Kathleen Glancy – Dean School

1950
Kathleen Glancy - Dean School

About this memory

I remember covering my books in brown paper to protect them.

The school nurse visited to check our weight and height. Hair was examined for nits and washed weekly with Derbac soap to prevent head lice.

The Dentist also visited. In 1952 George VI died and we were all sent home from school regardless of anyone being at home at the time.
