Mother And Children In Their Granny's Back Green At 31 Prestonfield Road 1933

About this memory

Mary Farquhar with her children Irene (left) and Alma (right).

“I used to visit my granny [Farquhar] a lot, I helped her hang out the washing. She was a tiny woman, only about 4″ 9′. She had to stand on a stool to put out the washing. I used to brush her hair – it was down past her hips!” – Alma Laing (née Farquhar)
