About this memory

“Flotilla at sea under attack. All manner of vessels, small to protect, nearly always a mother ship well protected. Traces of turn-about suggests a tricky situation, overhead gunsmoke was probably airplane spotted.” – Evelyn Muir (née Mobbs)

Photograph from collection of Ernest Mobbs who served in both World Wars.
