About this memory

1955 – Top left is the High Green where in the winter all the Dean Village children used to sledge down. ( In the mid 1800s cottages were positioned in the lower part of the High Green and the middle part was used for hanging out washing by the cottage dwellers, thus it was known to everyone as the High Green as the many decades passed ).

Left to right – Is my sister Avril, Della Marshall of Dean Path, Christine Knox Saunders Street, Drew Johnston of Well Court, Colin McKenzie of Well Court.
