Two Girls On Parade In Newtongrange Gala Day Celebration c.1988
1988

About this memory
Christine Spence.
“Many things are held at the park at Newtongrange, it is kept well, lovely to sit and look out over to the hills, etc, in the distance. The air is lovely and fresh. What strikes you mostly near to the park is all the quaint streets, mostly no name to them, like ‘First Street’, etc. It has the feel of freshness now but no doubt it had its moments when more coal fires were essential.” – Evelyn Muir (née Mobbs)
