“Behind my mother’s family home. During WWII my mother watched a doodlebug (V1 rocket) fly up the valley and stop between her house and a WAAF (Women’s Auxilliary Air Force) home nearby. The doodlebug dropped on the WAAF home killing about sixty people.” – Miles Tubb
